Required documents for the medical and psychological opinion
Medical and psychological opinion for traffic safety (professional drivers and other road safety related responsibilities):

• ID card - original
• driving license - original
• certificate from the doctor, is / is not in evidence with chronic illnesses;
• certificate from the workplace about the number of sick days in the last 12 months.

Medical and psychological opinion for the enrollment at the driving school:

• ID card - original
• certificate from the doctor, is / is not in evidence with chronic diseases.

Medical and psychological opinion to change the driving license:

• ID card - original
• certificate from the doctor, is / is not in evidence with chronic diseases.

Medical and psychological opinion for obtaining and maintaining the firearms permit:

• ID card - original
• medical opinion obtaining the firearm permit: identity card
• certificate from the doctor, is / is not in evidence with chronic diseases.

For people with responsibilities for traffic safety (professional drivers and other functions operating in the field of traffic safety, it is good to know that according to GEO no. 8/2013 regarding the reorganization of the Ministry of Transport network bathrooms and modify Law no. 95/2006 on healthcare reform, the Ministry of transport issued a set of 6 and 2 double order of Ministry of health joint orders, orders governing the work of medical and psychological safety of transport.

These orders have the generic title of secondary legislation on transport safety were published in November 2013 Official Gazette and make changes to the medical and psychological examination.

New legislation stipulates transport safety following legal obligations for employers:

• ensure participation of staff employed in positions with responsibilities in transport safety and psychological periodic medical examination for obtaining medical advice and psychological opinion;
• use of staff assigned to transport safety unless it has valid opinions medical and psychological opinion;
• provide advice and keeping track of medical and psychological during their validity.

Secondary legislation establishes that medical examination and psychological functions the transport safety is mandatory for the safe transport and performed for:

• admission to the training units (qualification) for functions with responsibilities in transport safety;
• engaging in responsible positions in transport safety;
• periodic review of the personnel involved in transport safety.

Functions with responsibilities in traffic safety for necessary medical advice and opinion psychologically are: Manager transportation, professional driver for passenger transport, cargo transport, taxi / rental, professional driver for special transport of dangerous goods (ADR), Driver professional special transport oversized transport, special transports transportation driver banking / stock, driving Instructor and Advisor dangerous goods (ADR).

The new regulations amend and deadlines for periodic inspection of medical and psychological examination; all persons between 18 and 65 years in positions with responsibilities in traffic safety, medical advice and psychological notice is mandatory in any capacity must perform these exams annually.

Medical specialties for which the medical examinations are mandatory in order to obtain medical opinion are: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Neurology and Psychiatry.
